The devising Process

The natural manner in which we spoke to the audience could show our
dramatic capability as it gave us an opportunity for allowing the
audience see another side of ourselves, and thus what a contrast it is
to our make-believe characters, giving a bigger impact on the
audience. For this more serious talk, we had to give insight to the
audience about the relevant themes that our play was exploring and so
I had to speak in a clear voice, giving concise information with
clarity. Immediately after this we came out of our natural stance and
became our make believe characters again and how the children were to
conspire against their Stepmother, as she stood as a barrier to their
Fathers attention and the throne. We wanted to show this straight
after to capture the audience in a state of sympathy for the troubled
Stepmother, and combat it with the dialogue with Harold and Griselda
attacking the Stepmother. This engages the audience as they are
constantly experiencing different emotions. For this short scene we
